The second meeting of ShareTrain

It has taken place in Bordeaux, France hosted by ISFEC Aquitaine, our French partners.

As stated in the agenda  the working sessions were devoted to:

Completing the comparative document of the different teacher training and professional development models which are implemented in each country. Special focus on competence models and other similarities and differences were discussed and shared.
Partners presented their teacher professional development plans.

Observation of schools
One of the tasks of the Share Train partners is facilitating and organizing observation visits to schools that have become benchmarks in the implementation of active  methodologies, innovative projects and use of technology, mobile learning and learning spaces  and maker spaces.

We visited the following schools in the Bordeux area:

Ensemble Scolaire Saint Louis Sainte Thérèse Bordeaux  is a school that is implementing a digital project  (class numérique) . A project that started in 2010 and focus on mobile learning and flipped classroom.
Ensemble Scolaire Notre Dame Sevigné   is redesigning spaces in the infant and primary classrooms with a low budget and the Collége Lycée Notre Dame Bordeaux   is piloting the Heracles project, an innovative project that focus on autonomous learning and make use of PBL, digital tools and design of learning spaces. For them a class is a place in which young students work like researchers  on interdisciplinary projects, with only one referent teacher or “guide” who is there to help and accompany them, side by side with the students, not face to face.

Lectures:
New Education Spaces, wellbeing and pedagogy by Bertrand Chavanel  , Manutan Collectivités  Learning Paradigms, by Jean-Claude Sallabery.

Observation of Training Sessions at ISFEC Aquitaine: Computational thinking and how to use scratch in the  primary classroom.

Observation of the creative team of ISFEC Aquitaine.

Cultural visits: One of the best ways to support linguistic development and intercultural understanding are social activities and cultural visits. Our host, ISFEC Aquitaine organized very interesting tours around the city of Bordeaux and we enjoyed a wine tasting experience at La Cité du vin. What a nice way to discover and engage with The European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

The different sessions and experiences have contributed to our knowledge of new methodologies and innovative practices that will be shared by Sharetrain project.

Remember that our project main objective is to share activities and school experiences worth sharing with you. You can find a detailed description and videos and photos of these experiences and observations in this website and our blogs.
Let’s keep on sharing!  Stay tuned!
